Hello fellow All-Things-Community readers, this is Jamie Langskov, blogger and podcaster at Community Unlocked and huge fan of our girl, Jenny Weigle, all-around amazing human and author of this blog. I’m popping in to your feed because Jenny could really use our support right now. She, along with her husband and her stepdaughter, lost their home and everything they own in the Palisades Fire this last week. If you don’t know Jenny personally, let me share with you how this lovely lady has impacted my life.
When I was new to consulting, Jenny brought me in with a warm hug and a brilliant smile. She was open with her kindness and generous with her knowledge. She owed me nothing, yet she gives continues to give freely. That is the truest spirit of a community leader. While my family has struggled these past couple of years, Jenny has been there for me with not only the gift of her friendship, but also with work opportunities and connections. She even made sure my kids were able to experience some Christmas joy this year. The devastating loss that Jenny and her family have just experienced is unacceptable. We will not let this family go through this tragedy alone. Jenny is without a doubt one of the most genuine, kind, generous, and welcoming people I know. We have all benefited from her presence in this community so I know you will join me in showing your support by donating to help this family get back on their feet:
Fundraiser for Jenny & her family
And since the fundraiser above is close to meeting its goal (or may have already by the time you read this), Jenny asks you consider donating to this other fundraiser benefiting about a dozen other families from her gym and community of Pacific Palisades.
Every dollar counts. Every share counts. Thank you for your time and for anything you can do to help. - Jamie Langskov
