Community of the Week: The Community Club
**First off, a huge THANK YOU to all of the new subscribers to All-Things-Community! There are 34 of you who have joined since I first announced this, and I consider you my Founding Members. I’m incredibly grateful that you took the time to subscribe! I would love to get to know each of you better, so please feel free to send me an email and tell me a little more about you. Now, back to the regularly-scheduled content…**
What’s more inspiring than a community that unites individuals that create, manage, and build online communities?! While I don’t recall how I first heard of The Community Club, I do recall being very impressed with the user interface and the engagement from Day 1.
What I like most about this community:
The active feed and conversation that is ALWAYS bringing up new and interesting points.
Content galore. There’s everything from a reading list to podcast list to resource library, and more. If anyone is new to this field, this is definitely one spot that will get them quickly acquainted with all of the great resources.
The number of digital events offered. I don’t attend all of them, however, I’m super impressed with all of the opportunities to engage with the members. There’s something about just knowing that all of the events are planned and available that’s very satisfying and welcoming to me.
My wish list for this community:
The ability to personalize the topic hashtags in the right rail.
An easier way to reference the full list of events without waiting for the weekly email to come out (although, that email is usually packed with valuable information).
By the way, if you’d like to connect on The Community Club, you can find me here. What do you like best about this community?
This is part of a weekly series where I’ll select a community I’m inspired by and write about it. Sometimes they’ll be communities that I’m a member of. Sometimes they won’t. Sometimes they’ll be clients. Sometimes they won’t. Each post will share what I enjoy the most about that community, and if you’re familiar with it, I hope you’ll share what you like about it, too.
Would you like to nominate a community for Community of the Week? If so, send me a brief email with the Community Name, URL, and a few sentences as to why I should highlight it and check it out.
