How To Prep Your Community For a Recession (From An Operational Perspective)
Hello All-Things-Community subscribers! Forgive my absence. I’ve been enjoying summertime with my family, and just when I was getting back in the swing of things, Covid hit me. I’m feeling super grateful for modern medicine today and the fact that it was a relatively short sickness for me. I hope this finds you in good health and that you enjoy this post. ~Jenny
I’m no economist, but every resource I read and listen to says we are heading for a recession. If that’s the case, we all may be experiencing major changes and uncertainty soon. Two of my clients are already going through such changes.
What can you do NOW to set your community up for success in the face of budget cuts? What can you do if you lose most, part, or all of your Community Team?
These are some of the topics I’ll be discussing during an upcoming virtual event with Khoros, and you’re invited:
Snack Breaks & Hot Takes: Big bets for communities in face of budget cuts
Wednesday, Aug. 3, 10-10:30am PDT
BONUS: Attendees will receive an UberEats gift card so that you can order and enjoy snacks while joining the event!
Also, if you’re not subscribed to Evan Hamilton’s newsletter, The Community Breakfast, then you missed a valuable writeup on this same subject matter from his July 5 edition.
Going to CMX Summit?
Hit reply to this email to let me know! I’ll be there, and it would be great to meet more All-Things-Community subscribers 😊. I *might* even be planning a little something special.
