In case you’re not familiar with MURAL, I’ll let you in on a little secret…it’s a strategist’s dream. MURAL is an online workspace for digital creation and collaboration. The MURAL Community is a place where I can learn from other users and ask questions about the product or how to use it.
I mostly play in Miro, but I've seen Mural and it seems like a really good product, too. I love the community BINGO game to familiarize members with the tool. Great idea!
Eeeeeeps! Thanks for making my day/week/month with these kind words and constructive feedback! Bingo was such a fun idea, and we're so happy with how it turned out. A leaderboard is coming down the line but I don't have the fine deets on timing there 😃 And yup, totally agree that the role labels from Vanilla/Higher Logic make things a little complicated. Hard to believe this Community is only ~10 weeks old, but we're iterating like crazy! Glad you're on this wild ride with us.
Only 10 weeks old?!!! Wow, kudos to you and your team 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. From just browsing around, I thought you were at least a year old. Already giving off that mature community vibe!
Hi Jenny! I just found your substack and I'm absolutely devouring. Question from a newbie: how do you structure OKRs for starting a community from scratch? I'm working on this now and figured I'd ask the master.
Hello Polina! Wow that’s a post within itself. I would start by asking WHY your company wants to start a community. Assuming you’ve already talked to potential community members about what they would want from the community, you then want to write OKRs based on their feedback + what you want to achieve with the community, making sure those are in line with the business’ goals. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you need a few more pointers, but hopefully, that provides a good start for you. 👍🏼

Beth pulled together such a great team that I am thrilled to be a part of. Thank you for the shout out!
That means a lot coming from you, Jenny! Thank you again for featuring us! You totally made our week... no... month! ♥️
